Objective: Leverage MOUNTAIN DEW to gaming enthusiasts.

Executed this job back in 2004 ( yeah, a bit long ago...but wanted to share it with you..) when I was the Creative Director of a free publication called "RZONE".
Rzone was a Toys R' Us' free gaming lifestyle magazine that shared upcoming games, movies, and music + shared tips and tricks to solving your games.

Tech stuff: Vector illustration with 1 rastered image, done with a wacom.

No gradient meshes, no custom brushes, no tracing.
 
Idea statement:Drive trial and awareness of Mountain Dew to gaming enthusiasts
by conveying the brand as the definitive part of your gear before saving humanity.




Made sense to actually position the brand in the center with depictions
of the popular gaming genres revolving around the bottle in a very sinister "out to get ya!" quality.
